How to make a Silhouette

Sihouettes were common in America (and elsewhere) between 1790 to 1840. They were quite a bit easier

We can make a silhouette right now!

First things first. Take a picture. I got this cute one of Clark with his crazy hair!

Next go to remove.bg

This site is awesome. It just removes the background. Remove anything extra you need to. Here is a video with some additional instructions (but then she moves to Cricut to finish the silhouette. We'll use a different program).

Use the Erase tool to get rid of any extra things you don't want (crazy hair, the body, etc).

Now click on the Create Design button on Canva

Canva is a free resource that is so useful! I make flyers, birthday/shower invites, chore charts, everything!

TA-DA!!

These can be framed, the kids can trace them on the window onto different paper and paint or color them. Just depends on what kind of craft you are looking for!
